Meet Becky

Marketing Professional. Self Starter. Loud Laugher.

Who is She?

Becky Binns is savvy, solutions-oriented professional, trained to approach each opportunity with a fully-realized Marketing Communications lens.

With 12+ years of agency, client-side, and nonprofit experience, she brings a wide skillset to the table, including (but not limited to): content strategy, copywriting, brand management, production assistance, event planning, social media management, project management, and paid media planning/buying.

Her skill set, point of view, and flair for performance are further fortified by her efforts within the local, national, and international figure skating communities. A nationally-ranked competitor in her youth, Becky now serves the sport as board member, judge, mentor, instructor, and more.

To diversify her experiences and connect with her Latin community, Becky has also started training in salsa, bachata, y cumbia.

She’s vibrant, nimble, curious, and insightful.

Notably, she’s also seeking out the next step in her career. Got something in mind? Don’t hesitate to reach out to her!

But Tell Me More…

She’s a Consistently-Chosen Leader

It takes a certain kind of person to be selected as forewoman in a homicide case, and Becky Binns is that person (State v. Damien Edwards Jefferson, Case No. 2022CF003850).

A DISC analysis test determined Becky is a blend of Cautious, Dominant, and Inspiring traits, and she attributes her natural-born leadership skills to that exact blend, in that exact order. Before making any moves, Becky observes: she analyzes the situation, does the necessary research, and has the right conversations to get an appropriate read on how to best approach areas of opportunity to yield the highest chances of success. Confident in the foundation she’s laid, she can then burst forth into action, taking the lead on planning and execution. It’s that same confidence that sparks excitement within her teams, inspiring partners and stakeholders alike.

All this is how she ends up expanding each role she steps into. A perfect example? Her role as Vice President of the Wisconsin Figure Skating Club, which now encompasses comprehensive club communications, overarching brand management, and management of the Junior Board and Adult Committee (both of which were founded by her). Take a look at some of the artifacts her leadership efforts with the club have yielded.

She’s a Manager of Strategy and Logistics

Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s the heavy influence of her beloved Vietnam vet father (who, of course, was in the Marines).

The point is: she believes structure is paramount to success.

Becky is clear-minded, roadmap-focused, and data-driven when it comes to executing a project, campaign, or event. While her leadership mentality opens doors, this concept keeps those doors wedged open. It’s precisely what allows her to continue collecting a wide range of experiences in her career.

Quite simply, Becky can be trusted to tackle new work. She’s a critical thinker adept at defining ambiguous concepts and breaking down large ideas into actionable steps. Plus, she’s resourceful enough to fill in any gaps in her own knowledge and experience, and she knows that performance analysis is key.

It’s how she leveraged a $1MM multichannel campaign budget to generate $150MM in revenue.

It’s how she implemented formal resourcing projection protocols and influenced her CEO to expand departmental staff by 50%.

It’s how she overhauled philanthropic fundraising events, originating and executing ideas that reached national platforms and generated $50K+.

Ask her about it. Or, better yet, ask her clients and peers about it.

She’s an Intentional Relationship-Developer

Look no further than her chosen areas of study for proof: Becky majored in Communication Studies and minored in Public Relations and English Literature.

Why? Because connection matters.

Becky believes it’s not enough to understand the roles and responsibilities of her partners, peers, and leadership team; she strives to consistently think of ways to bring people together, set expectations, and listen.

Achieving that deeper understanding and open communication does two things. First, it fosters a sense of belonging—bonding a team, improving morale, and increasing quality output. Second, it provides a deeper level of insight into how everyone functions—keying into the optimal way a boss or client receives information could be the difference between an idea getting green-lit or rejected.

Her passion for genuine engagement can also translate into interview opportunities. Whether conducting interviews firsthand or crafting thoughtful questions and prompts for others to use (as in the example below), Becky’s knack for establishing rapport elicits organic responses that truly bring her team and her projects to life.
